Wong
Yiu-nam is an animation and design student currently enrolling at SCAD.
He excels in demonstrating astonishing visual effects and solving problems with
designs. His ability in manipulating software with his experiences and his
exceptional sense in art and design helped him to make works that is selected
into different film festivals and international competitions. He strives to use
art and design as a tool to bring back humanity and make people better.
Tang
Chak-keung , a 16-year old student. He has been creating animations together
since they joined the 3D Animation Club of Shun Tak Fraternal Association Yung
Yau College back in 2013. He showed great potential in creating animations. One
of his best films, “Different”, has won the 1st Runner-Up in The Walt Disney
Family Museum - Teen Animation Film Festival 2017 held in San Francisco. This
successful attempt had encouraged him in creating even more animations, with
the hope of arousing people’s awareness towards various social issues.
Remarks shared after Festival
This trip
has encouraged me to create more animations, it's not often that I can showcase
my work outside of Hong Kong. I will try to create better animations to grab
any chance I can have to showcase my work and to bring the message within
the animation to everyone who watched it.

TAFI is a great festival for all young
creative talents to showcase their skills and ability, I had so many chances
and opportunities to exchange with all professionals and participants and
learnt a lot from them. SF is a fantastic city for creative works and all sorts
of stuff, I am glad that I had a chance to visit there and get inspirations
from the city, the people, the vibe. The overall experiences from the festival
is more than what "fantastic" means.. [More]

I would like to thank NAEHK for providing
this opportunity and making this come true. This project helps creative
professionals and amateurs to improve and exceed themselves to become a better
artist. The project helped so many people who might not be able to afford a
trip to explore and learn, not to mention bringing glory back to Hong Kong and
give them motivation to provide more for this city. I would like to have more opportunities
like this so that I could learn more and make Hong Kong a better cultural city.
