2016 Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and Market

This year, Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and Market has taken place for five days between 8 and 12 February 2016 at Clermont-Ferrand, France. Setting up a booth at the Market and organizing two market screenings on 9 February and 11 February to showcase 12 awarded Hong Kong short films to overseas audiences, NAE continued to proactively introduce and promote outstanding local short films and animations. This time, under the sponsorship of NAE, 12 filmmakers attended the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and Market. These filmmakers include HO Chun-yu Nic, awarded Silver Award & Audience Choice Award, the 17th DigiCon6 ASIA Awards (Hong Kong); HO Fung, awarded Best Film (Fiction) Gold Award, Best Actor Silver Award, Best Original Music Silver Award, Best Screenplay Bronze Award & Best Production Silver Award at the 10th Hong Kong InterSchool Film Awards (Hong Kong); YAU Wing-yan, awarded Grand Award, Best Documentary – Gold, Best Campus (Tertiary) Award & Best Thematic Micro-film Award – Time for Timeless, 8th Hong Kong Mobile Film Festival (Hong Kong); CHAN Ho-lun Fredie, awarded Silver Award (Open Category), the 20th ifva Awards (Hong Kong); LO Chun-yip, awarded Second Runner-up, Hong Kong Documentary Award, Chinese Documentary Festival 2015 (Hong Kong); HUNG Tsz-ching Michelle, awarded Outstanding Experimental Film Award, the 12th Global Chinese Universities Student Film and Television Festival (Hong Kong); Fu Hay-kin Adrian, awarded Best Digital Entertainment (Animation) Bronze Award, Hong Kong ICT Awards 2015 (Hong Kong); WONG Wai-nap, awarded Fresh Wave Award & Fresh Wave Best Film Award (Open Division), Fresh Wave International Short Film Festival 2014 (Hong Kong); LAM Hei-nok, Recommended director of the 39th Hong Kong International Film Festival (Short Film Competition) (Hong Kong); LEE Ping-shan, awarded Best Microfilm Production (Student Category) – Gold Award & Most Popular Microfilm Award, “Innovation Technology Industries” Microfilm Competition (Hong Kong); CHAN Siu-kuen Oliver, awarded Best Production – Gold Award, Best Microfilm Screenplay Award and Best Actress Award (Kandy Wong), 2nd Microfilm Production Support Scheme (Music) (Hong Kong); and HO Ching-yu Frankie, recommended director of the Jumping Frames International Dance Video Festival (Hong Kong). During their stay in France, the filmmakers took the opportunity to introduce their works to overseas audiences and attended screenings at the Festival and various meetings with other festival curators, filmmakers, film investors and press.
